Is your vehicle having trouble keeping it cool on icy or snowy Devon, PA roads? Do you have the confidence to drive in all types of weather conditions, but your car just doesn’t maintain poise under Mother Nature’s pressure? The answer to your winter woes could be BMW’s all-wheel drive system, known as xDrive. This system is now available on more new BMW models than ever — it’s just one more way that BMW keeps its drivers safe.

During normal driving, xDrive distributes power in a 40:60 ratio between the front and rear axles. When road, weather or driving conditions change, so does the balance of the power delivery. In the event of slippage or a steep grade, xDrive is able to distribute 100 percent of power to one axle (the one with the greatest traction). The system is regulated by Dynamic Stability Control, from which it gathers information to monitor road conditions.

See xDrive do its thing in the video below, and then experience all that this levelheaded drivetrain has to offer you in slippery eastern PA by test driving any of our equipped models here at BMW of Devon.
